At Phys EQ, our Registered Dietitians take a holistic approach to nutrition, assessing the overall health of each client. This involves a comprehensive review of medical history, lab values, medication, supplements, current meal patterns, physical activity, stress levels, and sleep. Our Registered Dietitians will assess your current nutrition patterns to help you identify the most realistic, achievable approach to weight loss. If you train with us, we will collaborate with your personal trainer or running/triathlon coach on your strength and cardio plan.

  • Modified Meal Plan: Ready for small changes? We listen to your current eating habits and suggest improvements. You’ll receive meal and snack ideas tailored to your needs.
  • Metabolic Testing: Discover your individual Resting Metabolic Rate to determine your exact calorie budget. We’ll help you stay within that budget with personalized meal plans or calorie logging.
  • Macronutrient Breakdown/Calculation: If you’re ready for detailed meal prep, we’ll teach you the right ratio of protein, fat, and carbohydrates to promote fat loss.

Clinical Nutrition/Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)

Our dietitians provide guidance for managing medical conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, and heart disease through diet and exercise. With lifestyle and behavior changes, it’s possible to avoid medication, reduce your dosage, or even discontinue medication altogether.

Sports Nutrition

  • Endurance Sports: Training for a half marathon, full marathon, triathlon, or century ride? Your nutrition plan is just as important as your training plan. We’ll help you avoid cramps, bonking, and GI distress by determining the right sports drinks, gels, or bars for your needs. A proper nutrition plan can improve your performance and overall experience.
  • Physique Nutrition/Aesthetic Nutrition: Lean out, build muscle, burn fat, and change your body composition through weight training and targeted macronutrients. Start with an InBody scan to get a baseline of your body fat and muscle mass percentages, and we’ll design a plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.
