Julia Halpin has been working with Physical Equilibrium since 2011. She is certified as a personal trainer by National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In addition to personal training, she is also a Post-rehab Conditioning Specialist, and holds credentials in Pilates, Yoga, Kettle Bells, TRX, nutrition, and pre/post natal fitness.
With over 15 years of experience and education in the field of health and fitness, Julia has developed an intricate understanding of body movement. Julia specializes in post rehab conditioning, helping those who have been injured, transition from physical therapy to a regular fitness routine and learn how to manage their injuries. She also works with recreational athletes focusing on cross training and injury prevention in order to improve their game. And she frequently works with new mothers, helping them regain core strength and overall fitness through strength and cardio training.
Julia takes a holistic approach to workouts because she believes fitness is not just about the workouts; rather that it is a combination of exercise, nutrition, daily activities, home life, hobbies, etc. She always takes the time to understand her clients’ lifestyle in order to design a program that fits them, whatever their goals may be.

It took me a lot of trial and error to find a place like PE and a trainer like Julia Halpin. If you like when a trainer is really, really listening to you both when it comes to goals and session-to-session, she’s the best! I started with her this summer with a clear set of baseline strength challenges (I got tired from holding my niece), and I have felt so much progress in my goals! She’s developed programs that are VERY different to stuff I’ve done in the past and I think it really speaks to the level of personalization you get from a true professional in their field when it’s the quickest I’ve ever seen results.I also appreciate her more thoughtful demeanor because if you’re thinking about doing personal training and worried someone is gonna yell at you or “push you,” when you really want someone who acts somewhere between partner and a coach, she’s the one!

Julia Halpin is a phenomenal trainer and is extremely knowledgeable about the body and post rehab training. I was paired up with Julia by Sara Dimmick a few years ago when I explained what I was looking for in a trainer. Julia is incredibly skilled and understands how to help build strength, while keeping me pain free. I’m so grateful to have found Julia and PE.
