Nutrition Services
During a nutrition assessment, our Registered Dietitians assess the overall health of the client/patient and take a holistic approach. The whole person must be seen. They review medical history, nutritionally significant lab values, medication and/or supplements, to name a few. Current meal patterns, physical activity, stress level and sleep will also be assessed. Health plans are completely individual as one size does not fit all! Goals will be set and accountability will be provided. Most importantly, you will be coached on long lasting behavior change to ensure new habits are formed and stick. There are no quick fixes or short cuts. Fad diets do not work long-term!
There are three variables to fat loss: weight training, diet, and cardio. Which of the three need manipulating and how will you get the body (physique) you want? A better question might be, which of the three are currently in your control to address and act on? Our Registered Dietitians will assess your current nutrition patterns and help you figure out the most realistic, achievable approach for you to lose weight through diet. If you train with us they will also collaborate with your personal trainer or running/triathlon coach on your strength and cardio plan.
High blood pressure or hypertension, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, heart disease, etc. Learn how to change your diet and exercise habits to help treat these medical conditions. It is possible to avoid medication, decrease your current dosage, or go off meds entirely with lifestyle and behavior changes!
I hate working out. I took a 7:30am Pilates class here with Cherry the instructor and it kicked my ass and made me feel so great the rest of the day. I haven't gone back yet but I check out the schedule all the time. The staff was all so nice. I saw a few people working out with personal trainers - seems like a really safe and nurturing place. I didn't feel uncomfortable or judged like I do when I go to some other "fancy" gyms like this one. Seems like a group of people who care about their bodies, and who have fun. Oh oh also SUPER nice changing and shower facilities! Free yoga mats (don't have to rent). Also the studio was small and they said they don't ever let the classes feel crowded so I liked that too. I will definitely go back.

Sara Dimmick and team at Physical Equilibrium are AMAZING! I ran my first marathon this past November in NYC. I had a very aggressive time goal and I am in my 40s - I wanted to accomplish my goal without getting injured. I was referred to Sara at Physical Equilibrium by another one of their clients. She became my marathon coach through the entire process.I worked with Sara over the many months of my training. I had an online schedule tailored just for me which included running plans, weights, cross training exercises. I met Sara in person monthly (at my choice) for adjustments in weights (form adjustment, etc). She was available through comments on Training Peaks (our training plan software) as well as via text, email and phone.

Working with Claire to dial in my nutrition has been immensely beneficial to not only my training and race performance, but my overall health as well! By focusing on the “fourth discipline” of triathlon with Claire, I’ve been able to attack longer distance events and improve times across all three legs of the triathlon. Thanks to the fueling plans we’ve worked on in our sessions, I am always confident that my body will have the fuel it needs to push for the extra pace or distance I want on my long training runs and rides.
