Strength Training & Weight Lifting at Physical Equilibrium – 515 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022

Lift Club is Physical Equilibrium’s coached strength training experience for people who want to learn how to lift well—safely, confidently, and with purpose. It was created for those who want more guidance and attention than a typical group fitness class, but may not want—or may not be able—to commit to ongoing 1:1 personal training.

Each session emphasizes smart warm-ups, proper lifting technique, and building a stronger mind–body connection. The goal is not to chase exhaustion for its own sake—it’s to develop the skills, consistency, and coaching support that lead to real progress over time. Lift Club is held at our Midtown Manhattan location at 515 Madison Avenue in New York City.

Our Beliefs about Lift Club

 

Lift Club was built on a simple idea: strength training should be coached. Not everyone needs (or wants) full-time 1:1 training, and not every gym class leaves room for the individual attention that safe lifting requires. Lift Club bridges that gap by combining structured strength training with active coaching—so you can learn how to warm up appropriately, execute lifts with solid mechanics, and build confidence under the bar.

Lift Club is not a boot camp, high-intensity interval class, or “sweat for sweat’s sake” workout. While you may absolutely work hard and feel challenged, the focus is skill, technique, and consistency—developing a better mind–body connection so you move more intentionally both in and out of the gym.

Progress in strength training comes from patience and repeatable effort. If you show up consistently, stay open to coaching, and commit to the process, you’ll build strength, resilience, and capability—with the added bonus that the workouts can still absolutely hit.

Coached Strength Training

Lift Club takes place at Physical Equilibrium’s Midtown Manhattan facility on Madison Avenue. Sessions are structured to teach you how to lift with better technique, smarter warm-ups, and stronger movement awareness—so you can build strength safely and keep progressing.

Because the coaching emphasis is technique and quality, Lift Club works well for a wide range of experience levels. If you’re newer to lifting, you’ll learn the fundamentals with support. If you’ve been lifting for years, you’ll refine form, improve efficiency, and train with more intention. If you have prior injuries or movement limitations, our coaches can help you choose appropriate regressions and modifications so you can still train productively.

Multiple Training Locations

 

Lift Club is offered at our Midtown Manhattan location at 515 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022. Physical Equilibrium also has a year-round location in East Hampton for clients who split time between the city and the Hamptons.

If you’re traveling regularly or balancing locations seasonally, our team can help you stay consistent with your strength training and overall wellness plan across both facilities.
