The team at PE are so knowledgeable and will customize a workout the meets your own special needs. I love them. You can't go wrong with anyone of the trainers.

I like Physical Equilibrium, the facility is great and staff are nice and professional. I have been taking Meditation for Profesionals with Daniela and it has been a wonderful experience, it is super relaxing and amazing class, exactly what I need in the middle of my crazy busy week, this class is perfect to balance my mind and body. Daniela is great instructor, she is very knowledgeable and has a great energy. I totally recommend it!
Training pros! In NYC for work and booked a training session with Sarah C. She reset my form for deadlifts, pull-ups and squats. Will definitely book again.
Sara Dimmick and team at Physical Equilibrium are AMAZING! I ran my first marathon this past November in NYC. I had a very aggressive time goal and I am in my 40s - I wanted to accomplish my goal without getting injured. I was referred to Sara at Physical Equilibrium by another one of their clients. She became my marathon coach through the entire process.I worked with Sara over the many months of my training. I had an online schedule tailored just for me which included running plans, weights, cross training exercises. I met Sara in person monthly (at my choice) for adjustments in weights (form adjustment, etc). She was available through comments on Training Peaks (our training plan software) as well as via text, email and phone.
The Physical Equilibrium team is the best! Professional trainers with the right skill set to help me achieve my goals. And just as important, they are dependable, caring and fun.
Great expertise. A good workout in a great space. Small group attention rocks as do the music playlist.
When I realized I had taken over 180 classpass classes, was training with a trainer, and running on my own time seeing little results, sustained an injury, on top of a childhood injury that resulted in tendonitis still pursiing daily bootcamp classes in which did not have teachers who were aware of proper injury modifications, I knew it was time for a change! I was determined to find something that was better suited for me and my fitness routine! I searched diligently for a gym or trainer looking for something so specific you would think it didn't exist. I hoped to find a trainer that was educated in post-rehab, experienced in running and run coaching, personal treatment plans for weight training and just an all around support without all of the glam. Just REAL strengthening, real changes, real knowledge and real people! Sara and Sarah have created something truly amazing! I am pleased to have crossed paths with them and Physical Equilibrium. I genuinely believe they have changed my life, considering I can not only walk with out pain but I can RUN and just ran my first HALF with the support and motivation of Sara! In addition, the space is AWESOME! Clean, new and welcoming. They offer supportive and safe classes including yoga, pilates and bootcamp classes! 🙂 If you are looking for results, good people, and overall support in whatever goals you hope to accomplish, Physical Equilibrium is your place! See you there!
Beautiful space with knowledgeable instructors and trainers. Highly recommend Sara for getting you back to shape postpartum.
I have joined the meditation class with Daniela Mattos-Turcinov few times and was AMAZING. Working full time on a very demanding job sometimes is difficult to find that little time to be "in the moment" and re-charge to continue moving on and I managed to get that joining the lunch time class. I will definitely be back for more!
“Transitioning patients to physical activity requires knowledge, patience and understanding. Physical Equilibrium not only rehabilitates people after an injury but also guides them from a sedentary to active lifestyle. Each patient receives an individualized program to assist in both physical and lifestyle goals. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.”
"Sara Dimmick and Sarah Currie, my Physical Equilibrium personal trainers, completely changed the way I think about exercise and nutrition. What I thought would be preparing for a 200 mile cycling weekend with my family turned into a complete lifestyle change and a 25 pound weight loss! Without their guidance and support, I would not have been able to achieve the strength, flexibility and endurance levels that I did."
I took a pilates class from Jesse and he was really great, it was like having a personal trainer in my home through zoom.He gave modifications to the exercises if they were too challenging for me and he explained and showed me how to do the exercises properly so I could maximize my workout.
The diverse background Sara has from her professional dancing, to her fitness knowledge, and her triathlon coaching makes her an exceptional trainer. She understands what clients need and takes the time to develop individual programs that suit their special situations. Her philosophy of combining cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility conditioning to progress the client towards a balanced and healthy body is one that I can recommend.
Phenomenal coaches who will help you reach your goals --- whether it be a PR at your next race or just improving your overall health.
Sarah Currie, the nutritionist, provides personalized instruction suited to my individual preferences. She gives sound instruction and motivates me to lose weight.
I hate working out. I took a 7:30am Pilates class here with Cherry the instructor and it kicked my ass and made me feel so great the rest of the day. I haven't gone back yet but I check out the schedule all the time. The staff was all so nice. I saw a few people working out with personal trainers - seems like a really safe and nurturing place. I didn't feel uncomfortable or judged like I do when I go to some other "fancy" gyms like this one. Seems like a group of people who care about their bodies, and who have fun. Oh oh also SUPER nice changing and shower facilities! Free yoga mats (don't have to rent). Also the studio was small and they said they don't ever let the classes feel crowded so I liked that too. I will definitely go back.
The trainers here are excellent and the gym is top notch and beautiful. I've been strength training with Sara Dimmick as I train for running and triathlon. This has been game changing for my overall health and race performance.
I took a Pilates mat class with Jesse, and it was one of the best workouts I've been to in a while. Not too rushed, but not too slow — an intense workout that still doesn't leave you feeling burnt out. The facility is also really well kept and pleasant. Would highly recommend to anyone.
I am very happy to recommend Physical Equilibrium and to share my experience of joy and relief after the classes I attended, I m very close to the due date in my pregnancy and i could never imagine that my body was able to do so many exercise , feeling powerful and in shape as my weight has not change, it has felt healthy and magical. i am very thankful to Julia the personal trainer I worked out with and to Sara who is very experienced as a trainer and as a mom so that she could lead me and explain a lot about my physical changes. both teachers have the necessary grit and enthusiasm to inspire and stimulate in order to feel pleasure with really little effort in every movement.. thank you
The several years that I worked in the city, I trained with Sara twice a week to stay strong and flexible so that I could continue to do the things I love like play soccer with my kids and go on active vacations with my family. I have had some injuries in the past and Sara made sure that we are doing safe, effective exercises that target those weaknesses. I had a very hectic schedule, but I made sure to stick to my appointments because we got so much accomplished and I felt so much better after my appointments with Sara.
Went here after I tweaked my back playing tennis and Sara the owner was amazing at getting me back to 100%
The trainers at physical equilibrium are amazing! They are very precise and have gotten me through multiple orthopedic issues over the years. My strength has increased and they are continuously challenging me and helping me become stronger and leaner.
